Rückblende: 1.2.2008, auf die Bühne des HAU1 tritt ein Mann. Er ist Statistiker. Die Bühne füllt sich, der 100. Berliner auf der Bühne ist ein Neugeborenes. Eine Stadt bildete sich ab: in ihrer Komplexität und Heterogenität, über die tiefen Gräben hinweg, die die einzelnen Menschen und Gruppierungen trennten. Seitdem sind 12 Jahre vergangen, das Konzept “100% Stadt” ist in über 40 Städte um den ganzen Erdball gereist, und es ist Zeit für eine Revision am Ort des Entstehens: Noch einmal kommen 100 statistisch ausgewählte Berliner*innen auf die Bühne und zeigen, wie sich die Stadt verändert hat.
Looking back: 1 February, 2008, a man steps onto the stage of HAU1. He’s a statistician. The stage fills up, the 100th Berliner on stage is a newborn. A city was depicted: in its complexity and heterogeneity, across the deep trenches that divided individuals and groups. It’s been 12 years since then, the concept “100% City” has travelled to over 40 cities around the globe, and it’s time for a revision at the site of its creation. Once again 100 Berliners statistically selected come on stage and show how the city has changed.
